Who is Jullaney?

Jullaney McKee is the CEO and heart behind Fighting for Paws, a nonprofit dog rescue located in Nevada City, California. Alongside her husband Tyler and their son, Jullaney has dedicated her life to saving and rehabilitating dogs who have experienced neglect, abuse, and abandonment. She proudly refers to herself as the "voice for the voiceless," advocating for animals who can’t speak for themselves.

Fighting for Paws was inspired by a deeply personal mission, starting with the rescue of a dog named Granola. Granola had suffered unimaginable cruelty but made a miraculous recovery, inspiring Jullaney and Tyler to pursue their lifelong dream of creating a sanctuary where dogs could heal and find loving forever homes.

At Fighting for Paws, the focus is on rehabilitation, training, and socialization. Every dog goes through a structured process to ensure they are spayed/neutered, chipped, and ready to integrate into a family environment. The McKee family emphasizes the importance of mental stimulation and physical activity, following their philosophy that "a tired dog is a good dog."

The rescue is more than just a shelter—it’s a community-driven movement. Through fostering, volunteering, and donations, Fighting for Paws continues to provide life-saving care for dogs in need, offering them the chance for a better life.

Jullaney and her team invite everyone to join the movement to give these deserving dogs a fighting chance.
